Throughout 2023 we've seen the cost of living crisis create a demand for our service larger than ever before, and just because it's Christmas we know these issues don't go away. With this in mind, we've got lots of information in one place on how you can access services to get the help you need if you find yourself in an emergency situation in Liverpool. Additionally, our local and national offices will be taking a well-deserved break over the holidays, with some services closed or operating on reduced hours:

Homelessness
The Whitechapel Centre: Call 0300 123 2041 if you need to refer a rough sleeper. For any other enquiries call 0151 207 7617.
Liverpool Careline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 0800 731 6844 (freephone) for help finding emergency accommodation or preventative measures for those on the brink of homelessness.

Feeding Liverpool's webpage shares details of Community Christmas Meals and how people can access emergency food provisions across Liverpool for the rest of the year (e.g. food pantries/banks).
Warm Spaces
The Life Rooms in Walton and Southport will be open during the festive period, both of which are close to bus and train routes (see below).

Fuel
We will be able to support an application for an emergency fuel voucher from up to 12 noon on Friday 22nd December.
Liverpool City Council's Citizens Support Scheme will be available between the 27th and 29th December and may be able to help those in a crisis situation (no fuel). Freephone number is 0800 456 1523. Alternatively, please encourage clients to contact their fuel provider for emergency credit.

Further Information
Liverpool Community and Voluntary Services (LCVS) have created a Winter Support Hub that is being updated constantly with the opening hours of organisations across Liverpool over the Christmas period.
